Hotel Website and SEO for Villa Agati in Siem Reap
A boutique hotel near Angkor Wat, a new domain with no search history, and guests from every continent. Awilix built the website in six languages and the SEO that makes it found.
Overview of our Hotel Website Case Study
Villa Agati is an 11-room boutique hotel in Siem Reap, Cambodia, 8 km from Angkor Wat, with a private pool, a restaurant and a 4.8 Google rating.
The hotel needed a website that sells the stay to travelers from Japan, China, Europe and the US, on a brand-new domain with no search history and against booking platforms that own every hotel query.
Awilix designed and built the site, then its SEO from day one: a six-language architecture, hotel structured data, and travel guides that capture people while they plan their trip to Angkor.
The site went live in April 2026. Five months later it reaches 600 organic clicks a month and 426 keywords in Google's top 10, in six languages.
The Challenge
-
01
A brand-new domain: no authority, no ranking, no content to build on.
-
02
Guests come from many countries. One language would have left Japanese, Chinese, French and Italian travelers to the booking platforms.
-
03
Hotel queries in Siem Reap are dominated by booking platforms and review sites. A small hotel cannot win them head-on in its first months.
-
04
The site had to do two jobs at once: sell the rooms, and earn visibility on the searches travelers make before they choose a hotel.
Website and SEO Work Delivered for Villa Agati
Strategy
Awilix built the site and the SEO as one project: every page was designed to convert a visitor and to rank, in every language, from the first day online.
A Hotel Website Built to Sell
Rooms, restaurant, pool and location presented the way guests decide: photos first, the Google rating visible, a booking call to action on every page, WhatsApp and phone one tap away.
Six Languages From Day One
English, French, Italian, Japanese, Khmer and Chinese, each with its own URLs and hreflang tags, so every visitor lands on the version written for them.
Content That Captures the Trip
28 temple guides, 17 activity pages and 27 blog articles per language, on the questions travelers ask before booking: Angkor Wat sunrise, Pchum Ben, Khmer food, things to do in Siem Reap.
Technical SEO and Structured Data
Hotel schema with address, coordinates and rating, a 456-URL sitemap, clean multilingual URLs, and indexation monitored in Search Console from launch.
From launch to 600 organic clicks a month in five months.
Google Search Console data. Monthly organic clicks went from 38 in May 2026 to 601 in September, and impressions from 1,900 to 47,990. The table compares the last 90 days (late July to late October 2026) with the 90 days before.
